Elena Hight is a professional snowboarder originally from Kauai, Hawaii and then raised in Lake Tahoe, California. At just thirteen years-old she was the first female to land a 900 in competition, and in 2013, became the first snowboarder, male or female, to land a double backside alley-oop rodeo, doing so at the Winter X Games Superpipe. Elena is a two-time Olympian, four-time X Games medalist, including a gold medal, and a Burton US Open Gold medalist. I asked Elena about what inspires her to keep pushing herself and the sport and how she stays focused with such a rigorous lifestyle.
